The ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands is set to become the heart of the growing ArtScience movement and the premier venue for major international traveling exhibitions from the most renowned collections in the world.
The Museum's showpiece exhibition, ArtScience: A Journey Through Creativity, features a series of permanent exhibits that take visitors on a journey inside the creative process. Through interactive and multimedia displays, visitors explore how creative minds meld the disciplines of art and science to make objects that transform the world.
The Museum plays host to marquee exhibitions curated by leading museums and collections from around the world. These traveling exhibitions are recast through the lens of ArtScience, allowing visitors to experience the interaction of influences that give raise to great moments, movements and inspirations in time.
From February 19, the ArtScience Museum welcomes visitors to the following blockbuster traveling exhibitions.
· Till March 27: Traveling the Silk Road: Ancient Pathway to the Modern World makes its debut in Asia with the recreation of the bustling marketplaces in Asia and the Middle East, stops along the trade routes collectively known as the 'Silk Road', between AD 600 and 1200
· Till April 10: Genghis Khan: The Exhibition, making its only Asian stop outside of Mongolia, takes visitors on a journey back to 13th century Mongolia with the largest collection of Genghis Khan artifacts ever assembled
. Till July 31: Shipwrecked: Tang Treasures and Monsoon Winds, making its world debut, explores an astonishing cargo of some 60,000 objects carried by a 9th century Arab dhow which had lain undisturbed on the ocean floor until its discovery in 1998
Visitors can view all traveling exhibitions and the showpiece exhibition with an admission ticket into the Museum.
