HSBC Tree Top Walk

Let's admit it, not everyone is cut out for jungle trekking but that does not mean we cannot appreciate the many natural offerings the jungle has to offer. Thankfully, you don't have to be Tarzan to appreciate the HSBC Tree Top Trail.

Walk above the canopy of trees, 25 metres up high and brace yourself as you cross the free-standing suspension bridge and check out the amazing views of all of the forest.

The TreeTop Walk is a free-standing suspension bridge connecting the two highest points, Bukit Peirce and Bukit Kalang, in MacRitchie Reservoir. The 250m-long, 25m-high walkway offers panoramic views of the plants and animals living in the forest.

The construction of this unique bridge commenced from August 2002 and took 2 years to be completed. Not only does it serve as an attraction in MacRitchie Reservoir, it also offers researchers an avenue to extend their research, which was previously impossible as these areas were then inaccessible.

To get there, you'll have to walk either from the entrance of MacRitchie Reservoir Park, about 4.5km away, or from the carpark in Venus Drive, about 2.5km away. Plan to spend about 3 to 5 hours for a round trip that includes the TreeTop Walk.

Put on your walking shoes and walk high among the trees and survey a wide array of wildlife and plants and enjoy panoramic views as far as the eye can see.
