You've gone on the many rides, stuffed yourself at the restaurants and chilled out at the beach. So, what else is there to do in Sentosa?
Well, how about learning more about the island's history? Journey to a simpler time with the Gogreen Heritage & Island Explorer tour. It's a guided cycling tour that'll take you around the island, either on 'hybrid' bikes powered by solar-charged batteries, or on good ol' regular bicycles.
Some of the highlights include a spin past the Lost Civilization and Ruined City attraction near Fort Siloso, where the Dragon’s Teeth Gate once stood. You'll also see a massive 9.2-inch breech-loading gun at the top of Imbiah Lookout. Learn why Sentosa used to be known as Pulau Blakang Mati, that is, 'Island of Death from Behind' as you retrace its historic role as a British military base during World War II.
The Heritage & Island Explorer lasts about 60 minutes and costs S$28, with the bicycle rentals going at $12 per hour for kids and adults alike.
For an additional $5, you'll also get to enjoy any one of the following:
- One round of Segway Fun Ride, or
- One hour of bi-pedal bicycle rental, or
- An upgrade from a bi-pedal to a hybrid bicycle
The Gogreen Heritage & Island Explorer operates daily from 9.30am - 8pm.
