Bollywood Veggies is the largest producer of organic bananas and papayas in Singapore. Set in a lush 10-acre site in Kranji, it specialises in growing healthy local produce without using chemical fertilisers, pesticides and growth hormones.
A yellow shuttle bus operating from 9am to 4.30pm every day takes visitors to the farm from Kranji MRT Station (NS7). The fares cost S$2 per adult and S$1 per child, and includes entry to Bollywood Veggies.
Inside the vegetable farm, you'll find fruit vegetables, medicinal tree and herbs. There are also five guided tours and an array of activities to engage visitors. Pre-bookings are required via the farm's website.
You can also enjoy a meal at the Poison Ivy Bistro, popular for its home-made drinks. Note that it only accepts cash payments, so make sure you carry enough if you intend to dine at the farm. And, if you have enough to spare, you can pick up a couple of fresh organic fruit or vegetables to complete your journey.
Bollywood Veggies is open from Wednesday to Sundays and on public holidays from 9am to 6pm.
