The Marine Life Park goes beyond just being an attraction to provide entertainment and water activities. It is also committed to education programs and conservation of wildlife. The Marine Life Park aims to educate and engage with informative interactive displays to boost awareness on marine conservation. Specially tailored programs are available for the young and old, proving that you're never too young or too old to stop learning or having fun. It has programs for students, educators and for anyone that is interested in marine conservation and environmental issues.
It is dedicated to its cause, as defined by its vision and mission. Its vision is to 'deliver in-depth world-class education programs that inspire and empower people to become catalysts of positive change for marine and nature conservation' and its mission is to 'engage and excite students with experimental, inquiry-based learning journeys that foster a deeper understanding of, and appreciation for the ocean, its ecosystems and the species that live within'.
The Marine Life Park has designed several programs to achieve its vision and mission. It has teacher attachments, which provides the opportunity for partnership with Ministry of Education (MOE) teachers. It also has special programs for school tours, to encourage schools to bring their students to the Marine Life Park to enhance their holistic educational experience.
In line with its conservation efforts, the park has launched a $3.2 million Marine Life Fund to finance conservation efforts around the globe, with its first beneficiary being WildAid, an anti-poaching group that patrols the Galápagos Marine Reserve.
The Marine Life Park has also given focus to coral conservation. Its efforts include the relocation of corals around the northern coastline of Sentosa, which has been affected by reclamation works in the area.
