Operating Hours:Daily, 8am - 10pm
Description: Formerly a wet market in the 1950s, Maxwell Road Food Centre is now one of the most well-known hawker centres in Singapore. Although not exactly scoring high marks for cleanliness, it draws large crowds due to the many stalls selling traditional Chinese delicacies such as turtle soup and pig's brain. It reopened in 2001 after renovation works were completed at a cost of $3.2 million.
