If there's one thing Singaporeans are known for, it is coming out to play till the wee hours, and there is no better area to do this than the iconic Clarke Quay. The area is filled with a playful mix of the rustic charm of colourful shophouses and modern riverfront cafes, bars and retail shops that have blossomed in the area since the massive clean-up of the Singapore River from 1977 to 1987. An area steeped in cultural heritage in daytime, Clarke Quay transforms into the iconic epicenter of local nightlife by night.

Sheltered with a huge roof dome in the main fountain area, Clarke Quay is perfect for a pub crawl or a typical good night out. Stroll around in comfort with the cooling system installed  as you hop from one venue to another - five full blocks to be exact. With concept bars and clubs a plenty, you'll be spoiled for choice.

Mingle with locals at popular nightspots such as Arena, Zirca and Attica, or take a relaxing stroll down the river to chill out at bars filled with live music. Check out Brewerkz, Singapore's very own microbrewery, located on the opposite bank of the river at Riverside Point. The range of handcrafted premium beers will delight any drinker.

Not in the mood for drinks? Try the thrilling G-MAX reverse bungy located at Clarke Street near to the Traders' Market. Firing you off at 200kph to a whopping 60m off the ground, this night ride is simply out of this world. (Riders have to be at least 12 years old and above.) Alternatively, attend the Royal Selangor Process Demonstration Tour and craft your own pewter dish with the Royal Selangor's School of Hard Knocks course.

Food outlets around the vicinity range from local cuisines to Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican and Middle Eastern delights, and remain open till late for a lovely dinner or supper.
