The first of its kind in Southeast Asia, the garden-themed Sentosa Boardwalk offers visitors another way to get to the resort island. Connecting the waterfront promenade at VivoCity to the Sentosa Visitor Centre, the iconic gateway of the Boardwalk provides convenient access to those who wish to visit Sentosa on foot.
Along the way, visitors are treated to scenic vistas of the bay, and are immersed in the lush greenery of the five tropical landscapes indigenous to Singapore that are featured along the Boardwalk.
If the stroll gets too tiring, visitors can also opt to hop on board the canopy-covered travellators or take a break in any of the food-and-beverage outlets, offering mostly desserts and small bites, along the the boardwalk (Gelateria Venezia; #01-03. OOH! CRÊPES; #01-06. Queens; #01-05.).
There are a couple of retail stops along the boardwalk as well, including the world’s first frangipani-themed boutique (Frangipani Creations; #01-07.) and a Sentosa souvenir shop (Retail Sentosa Souvenirs; #01-01.).
The entry fee is $1 per person, with the ticketing booths open from 9am to 6pm daily. The boardwalk is open 24 hours a day, while the travellators operate every day from 7am to midnight.
