Legend of the Seas

By: yuhang on 13 Mar 2012
Despite being a relative newcomer to the Singapore Cruise Centre, this 17 year-old ship is Royal Carribean’s most travelled carrier. Onboard the 2,074-guests Legend of the Seas, vacationers can look forward to a veritable ocean of entertainment and relaxation choices, such as Royal Carribbean’s signature 9m rock-climbing wall and miniature golf course. In addition, one can savour a wide variety of international cuisine whilst enjoying the sea view from the two-tier glass-walled Romeo and Juliet Dining Room, watch theatre shows, enjoy singing karaoke in the KTV room, or relax in the Solarium indoor pool.

Avid shoppers will want to make a beeline for the numerous duty-free shops onboard, whereas there is also the Vegas-style Casino Royale® with 117 slots and 17 tables for those who wish to try their hand at games of chance. Enjoy Broadway-style entertainment in the main theatre while sending your children for the Complimentary Adventure Ocean® Youth Program. Aside from this, your kids can also take part in Royal Babies® and Royal Tots® programs featuring specially designed Fisher Price activities including games, contests, enrichment classes and lectures

After a fun-filled day, retreat to the Vitality Spa where you can enjoy its extensive treatment menu or work up a sweat at the state-of-the-art gymnasium with classes ranging from kickboxing to yoga. At night, those who fancy a drink will be happy to patronize the 8 bars and lounges with no cover charge, and teens can have their own fun at the teen-only hangout areas and disco.

Boarding is at the Singapore Cruise Center (SCC) at Harbourfront. After you’ve checked in, you’ll be issued with a SeaPass Card. It is the all-access card that opens your room door, pays for expenses onboard, and allows you to get on and off the ship for land tours so you don’t have to bring your passport along. Your photo is taken the first instance you board the ship and stored in the card for security and identification.

Legend of the Seas also offers a wide variety of shore excursions at each port-of-call for cruisers to explore more of the region, such as the local gastronomy and heritage tours in Penang, city shopping trip in Kuala Lumpur, and elephant rides and river cruise in Phuket. Much like Star Cruises’ Superstar Virgo, the Legend of the Seas offers a 2 night cruise to Malacca, a 3 night cruise to Penang and Malacca, and a 4 night cruise to Malaysia and Phuket, Thailand.
